What happens during a trial
At the Hair prep/updo trial you’ll consult with a stylist to communicate your vision and see a real-world version of the planned updo. The session focuses on testing shape, balance, and how the style sits on your head so you can evaluate the look and make informed adjustments before the event.
The trial is a hands-on rehearsal rather than a final appointment: your stylist will demonstrate options, assess hair volume and movement, and note any changes needed to achieve the desired silhouette. This is the moment to confirm how much of the original idea translates to your natural hair and to set expectations for the final service.
Choosing and refining styles
Trials typically take place one to two months before peak spring and fall event seasons (April–May and October–November). That timing gives you space to refine the look without last-minute stress and helps align hair choices with fittings, makeup trials, and vendor schedules common in Denver’s event planning timeline.
Bring inspiration images and any accessories you plan to use so the stylist can evaluate how pieces sit and interact with the updo. At the trial you’ll refine parting, volume, and the overall silhouette, testing small variations so the final appointment focuses on replication rather than discovery.
Practical scheduling and logistics
We design appointments to fit professionals, parents, and residents who combine services with shopping or dining in South Gaylord and surrounding districts. The salon’s proximity to I-25, Broadway, University Boulevard and RTD connections makes it feasible to schedule a trial around commutes or errands in the Washington Park neighborhood.
Denver’s high-altitude, dry climate and seasonal conditions—snow in winter, occasional summer storms—can affect travel and how a style performs. When booking, plan for on-time arrival and allow a little extra travel time during winter weather or event-day traffic; your stylist will confirm logistics when you reserve the appointment.
