How the K18 System Works
The K18 Prep and Repair Service uses the patented K18PEPTIDE™ delivered in two professional formats: a molecular repair mist and a professional repair mask. Each product is engineered with specific formats and pH ranges so stylists can use them before or after salon services to strengthen hair and address damage incurred by chemical or thermal procedures.
Using both the PRO mist and PRO mask in sequence gives stylists flexibility: the mist primes and fortifies strands before a transformational service, and the mask helps reverse post-service damage. Stylists evaluate hair condition and service goals to decide application order and intensity, aiming to support stronger, healthier hair without altering service chemistry.
What To Expect During Service
At the salon your stylist will assess hair history and current condition, then apply the K18 PRO mist and/or PRO mask as appropriate for the planned service. Products are applied with attention to their pH and format so they integrate with coloring, lightening, or thermal work. Results depend on initial hair condition, the chemical services used, and professional technique.
Appointments at our Washington Park location are scheduled to accommodate working clients and those combining visits with shopping or dining along South Gaylord Street or South Pearl Street. Easy access from I-25, Broadway and nearby RTD connections makes it convenient to add K18 repair before or after other salon services.
Maintenance And Seasonal Care
Clients often request K18 Prep and Repair around seasonal transitions and before or after major chemical services—our busiest months include January, May, August and November for those reasons. Denver’s high-altitude, semi-arid climate with dry air, sun exposure and freeze-thaw cycles can make proactive repair and maintenance more important for retaining hair strength and manageability.
Follow-up care is guided by your stylist, who will recommend whether in-salon repeat treatments or complementary professional home care are appropriate. The degree of existing damage, service frequency, and seasonal stresses will shape a maintenance plan aimed at preserving improvements from the K18 protocol.
